“An ode to Rock n’ Roll”
Formed in New Jersey in 2017, Flycatcher is reminding everyone what made early 2000s rock music so great. Exploding onto the scene with “Sodas in the Freezer” off their “Stunt” EP, they wasted no momentum -- and their debut album, “Wrench” has been one of my favorite projects of the year.
Blending hints of alt-punk with heavier new-wave indie rock and subtle undertones of shoegaze, Flycatcher brings you back to the basement with your best buds -- reminiscing, mourning, anticipating what’s left -- all in the span of 10 songs.
